NOTICE: HENNING Award Nominations Now Being Accepted
The Henning Award is the highest honor, presented annually to an active or retired fully accredited Certified Public Manager®, who through their efforts have made significant contributions in public sector management assignment and/or continued public sector charitable support, upholding and building the prestige and image of the CPM.
The award is comprised of:
1. The Henning TrophyThis award was created for recognition of the individual deemed the: ”Father of the Certified Public Manager® Program”, Kenneth Henning. Henning possessed the vision and was the founding force in creating the embodiment of the Certified Public Manager training, education, and certification program. This program began in the state of Georgia and has grown nationally. The program is administered by the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium. The program is actively delivering management techniques designed specifically for all levels of government entities by fostering and encouraging the highest possible levels of competence and ethical practice by managers. The result is a national body of professionally trained and oriented public servants.
The annually presented award is administered by the Certified Public Manager® Education Foundation.
